Viet Nam earned US$4.15 billion from exports of wood and wooden products in the first six months of this year, marking an increase of 8.4 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Wood export firms have pegged their hopes on the outcome of the forestry
restructuring plan to assure the recognition of a Vietnamese wood brand
and to expand market share.
In October, Vietnamese timber exports earned US$528 million, bringing
total timber exports in the first 10 months to $4.98 billion, a 12.8-per
cent year-on-year increase.
